Job Summary

Elastotec is seeking an operational leader to support its wear panel sales team in delivering all aspects of the ultimate customer experience.

Elastotec has patented a magnetic wear panel system for the global mining industry. The product is quickly being adopted by many major companies and is growing quickly.

This is an all-encompassing operational roll covering all aspects from product development, product costing, procurement of raw materials and finished products, quality, order processing and despatch.

You will be empowered to build a new and dynamic team from the ground up.

Proven Abilities

Proven ability to build, develop and retain motivated and dynamic teams. Experience with diplomatically managing multiple commitments to customers, staff, and operations.

Ability to adapt to challenges while remaining calm in a constantly changing fast paced environment. Able to anticipate change and “make things happen”.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities. Proven ability to work independently, exercising judgment and initiative.

Qualifications and Experience

It is expected that the suitable candidate would have some type of Engineering
Degree or Engineering experience.

Mining industry experience would be looked upon favourably but is not essential.

A high degree of motivation and initiative could certainly make up for any areas where some experience may be lacking.

Key Result Areas and Performance Indicators:

Planning And Supervision
  • Wear Panel Production plan is prepared and monitored for internal warehouse and factory team.
  • Monitor/Coordinate Vietnam production plan to ensure production commitments are achieved.
  • The team are supervised and monitored to achieve high levels of quality and efficiency.
  • The staff are adequately trained to safely operate equipment and ensure product quality.
  • Orders are despatched in full and on time.
  • Warehouse and factory Staff levels are maintained to match the workload. Staff recruitment as needed.
  • Recommend and implement process and efficiency improvements.
  • Hands on as needed.
Quality Control
  • Quality standards are maintained for all manufactured and traded products at both Somersby and Vietnam sites.
  • Effective and timely processes are in place to identify and manage faulty goods, including in process and final inspections.
  • Records are maintained for all products being despatched.
  • Product appearance and packaging is professional.
STOCK Control
  • Products are clearly identified and quantified.
  • Stock takes are performed with minimal effort and discrepancies.
  • Liaise with Sales Accounts and Administration to maintain appropriate stock levels.
  • Stable and reliable sources for raw materials and finished product are established and managed. (Predominantly Vietnam and China).
  • Willingness to travel Internationally as required.
  • Optimisation of pricing (Negotiation).
Health and Safety
  • Established organisational H&S and environmental policies are adhered to and Statutory compliance is maintained.
  • New Equipment specified and sourced to meet Operational needs.
  • Existing equipment well maintained and in Production ready state.
Product development
  • Effectively work with the Sales team to Develop new product designs.
  • New product implementation is managed from prototyping and testing through to production tooling and product approval.
  • Supporting Sales with Technical advice and recommendations.
