Fully Vulcanised Joints – No Weak Points For Water Penetration

Cold Vulcanised Ceramic Lagging (CVCL) joints are a known weak point that allows water ingress and leads to corrosion of the pulley shell and eventually debonding of the lagging at this point. In wet conditions the rotation of the pulley under load generates a pumping action that forces water into the joints and that inevitably finds its way through even the smallest weak point.
 
Even the best application technique cannot eliminate this problem with CVCL.
 
Hot Vulcanised Ceramic Lagging (HVCL) which has no joints between the lagging strips eliminates this mode of ceramic lagging failure.
